A Little Bit About Heidi
Heidi was born in Sandusky, Ohio, and is the middle of three girls. Her dad was a letter carrier and after a blizzard had hit several states in the 1970s, her parents decided that Florida might be a great place to live. Her family relocated to Orlando, Florida, where she grew up. Heidi went on to study medical transcription and now, over 20 years later, she has been blessed to use this training in the medical field as well as in publishing. She currently lives in South Carolina and is active in the Salvation Army church and LOVES it. She currently works for a local hospital serving as an emergency room charge specialist.
Heidi is also an associate member of the Evangelical Press Association and will be completing her Associates in Arts degree at Southern Wesleyan University in August 2016. While working toward this goal, she is anticipating great new adventures ahead as God opens doors and leads the way.
In 2009, Heidi published her first children's book, titled "Bobo's New Home: Bobo Learns that No Matter Where He Lives, God is There too." The story was written while she acclimated to a new environment having relocated from Orlando, Florida to a little town called Donalds in South Carolina. Here she had the honor and privilege to meet many interesting characters, some of whom have made it in one form or another in this book. She plans to write more books for children at some point, and possibly one book geared for the grown-ups. In the meantime, she loves just writing short stories.
